BAJA CALIFORNIA, SEA OF CORTEZ, MEXICOBAJA Land & Sea Photography RetreatJanuary 4-11, 2013
Picture a remote desert coastline with crashing waves, swaying palm trees, and mountainous headlands. Then imagine the most beautiful sunrises ever. Magic happened and we were there to witness it, cameras ready.
These images are from the
Lindblad/National Geographic Land & Sea Photography Retreat at the
Rancho Las Cruces resort and on board the
National Geographic Sea Bird in January 2013.
Two days of classes were rewarded with
giant whale sharks, breeching
humpback whales, acrobatic
dolphins, and other-worldly landscapes. Teaching moments ranged from reviewing the basics of exposure and composition to advanced lighting painting and
star trails.
Photo instructors included
National Geographic Photographers Ralph Lee Hopkins,
Bob Krist, and
Michael Melford, along with our good friends from the
B&H superstore,
David Brommer and
Gabe Biderman.
